Description
A [deleted: king] kind of bocky [note 1] sink undescended (Bartholeyns, J P 2010.02.18 Mss: Krem Lamyliang 2 [deleted: and 3]) is I. just about mentioned by Bartholeyns, J P (2010.02.18 Mss: Krem Lamyliang 3) II. ignored by Bartholeyns, J P (2010.02.18 Mss: Krem Lamyliang 2 [deleted: and 3]) III. omitted in the list by Brooks, S J et al (2010.03.29 Mss: Survey summary.xls) IV. not mentioned by Anonymous et al. (2010.03.29 Mss: Diary (current) 2010.doc) V. indicated in one breath with Krem –>Lamyliang 2 as Krem Lamyliang 2&3 (Arbenz, T 2010.03.31 cave distribution map: Pala_Ridge_4-10.pdf) VI. and found modified into a Krem Lamyliang 3 (JP Bartholeyns, 18.2.2010) A kind of a rocky [note 2] sink, undescended (Arbenz, T 2013.11.24 Mss: Krem Lamyliang 2&3 = Krem Lamyliang 2&3.doc). SITUATION 2010a: Krem Lamyliang 2&3 is indicated about halfway between the explored parts of the lower reaches of Krem –>Mankrem and the orographically left (locally west) bank of the Kopili River (Arbenz, T 200.03.31 cave distribution map: Pala_Ridge_4-10.pdf). SITUATION 2010b: At the bottom of [an unidentified] the the valley with an unidentified name, the cave entrances to both Krem Lamyliang 2 and Krem Lamyliang 3 were understood to lie in an unidentified spatial relation to each other in the middel [sic!] of the bush at ±50 m write side [deleted: of our] from a path going down from the top of the ridge to the bottom of the valley (Bartholeyns, J P 2010.02.18 Mss: Krem Lamyliang 2 [deleted: and 3]). SITUATION 2012: KL2 was GPS’d at N25 26 14.7 / E92 35 48.5 with +-19 m accuracy. KL3 is 30 m and 60deg from KL4. KL2 is 20 m and 90deg from KL3. KL5 is 15 m and 70deg from KL2. KL6 is 15 m and 110deg from KL2 (anonymous Arbenz, T et al. 2013.08.07 Diary 2012.doc). POSITION: Since KL2 is 20 m and 90deg from KL3 (anonymous Arbenz, T et al. 2013.08.07 Mss: Diary 2012.doc) one is tempted to surmise that the cave entrance to KL3 lies I. at a linear distance of 20 m (about 0.7 seconds) on a bearin of 270° (due west) from the GPS position near (±19 m) N25°26'14.7”: E092°35'48.5” (unspecified geodetic datum possibly WGS84) recorded for the cave entrance to KL2 (anonymous Arbenz, T et al. 2013.08.07 Diary 2012.doc) II. near N25°26'14.7”: E092°35'47.8” / N25.437417°: E92.596611° (calculated after KL2 is 20 m and 90deg from KL3 in: anonymous Arbenz, T et al. 2013.08.07 Diary 2012.doc). SPECULATION: Krem Lamyliang 2 (JP Bartholeyns, 18.2.2010) may be connected with Krem Lamyliang 3, an other undescended sink 20 m [distant] and, maybe, also with Krem Lamyliang 1 (modified after Arbenz, T 2013.11.24 Mss: Krem Lamyliang 2&3 = Krem Lamyliang 2&3.doc). of 270° (due west) from the GPS position near (±19 m) N25°26'14.7”: E092°35'48.5” (unspecified geodetic datum possibly WGS84) recorded for the cave entrance to KL2 (anonymous Arbenz, T et al.

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2010.02.18, trip 1: Pynsheng 'Cause Tallness' Shadap and Morning Star 'Lurshai' Lamurang guided Melquire 'Mel' Laitphlang, Estelle Sandford and Jean-Pierre Bartholeyns to an offhand invented but fully unspecified Sintung / Kopili Area (bullshit) whereupon the latter two cared to avoid mentioning Krem Lamyliang 2 in Anonymous et al. (2010.03.29 Mss: Diary (current) 2010.doc: 18th February). Thomas Arbenz, however, preferred to put the cart before the horse to fashion a tale according to which E.Sandford, M.Laitphlang, JP Bartholeyns located the caves with the help of a local guide (Arbenz, T 2013.11.24 Mss: Krem Lamyliang 2&3). 2012.02.19, trip 2, an execise in futility: David 'Cookie' Cooke, Ross Davidson, Nicola 'Nicky' Bayley and Richard Hudson alias DC, RD, NB, RH found a way to the cave entrance of Krem Lamyliang 2 where the strong team of four cavers produced 0 (zero) and noticed prospecting (anonymous Brooks, S J 2012.06.23 undated Mss: Mghalaya 2012 Survey Summary Kopli.xls). 19th Feb 2012 (Sunday) Krem Lamyliang 2 & 3 - Rich, Nicky, Ross & Cookie … [undertook] some jungle bashing with Richard wielding the machete, they reached their objective, Krem Lamyliang 2 & 3. The GPS coordinates given from 2010 were accurate but they could find no sign of the 4WD Track. … Ross explored Krem Lamyliang 3 (anonymous Arbenz, T et al. 2013.08.07 Diary 2012.doc). 19thFeb 2012: N.Bayley,R.Hudson, R.Davidson and D.Cooke visit the caves while prospecting in the area (Arbenz, T 2013.11.24 Mss: Krem Lamyliang 2&3).
