A pothole cave entrance (about 10 or 12 m long and 4 or 5 m wide) at a rift / fissure (without orientation) represents a seasonal sink (Brooks 2009.02.24 Mss: Krem Mura 3), which Brown (2001.02.08 Mss: Krem Mura) had recorded as one more pothole cave entrance without specified shape, dimension (except an estimated 5 m width) and characteristics (note 1). A second entrance, of course without specified shape, size or unmistakable characteristics, is another Krem –>Mura 3b, the Krem Mura Parallel Shaft or second parallel shaft of Brooks (2009.02.24 Mss: Krem Mura 3). ETYMOLOGY: No autochthonous (autogenic, original), locally known and communicable name has been identified for Cave number 3 in the Mura Area below Tongseng (Brooks 2009.02.24 Mss: Krem Mura 3), which Brooks, S J, Roshan Yengkhom and Bridget Hall nicknamed Happy Cave (Brooks, S J et al. 2009.02 Mss -Diary 2009.doc- Monday 23rd February) and distorted into a half-bred Krem Happy (Brooks 2009.02.24 Mss: Krem Mura 3) which woul correspond a (Ba) Suk Cave, Don Bok Cave, Jem Cave, or, if you prefer, a Kabu Cave (note 2). SITUATION: At an allegedly inexplicable location some 700 m in one way or another (note 3) to the east of Tongseng village (Brooks 2009.02.24 Mss: Krem Mura 3) and in fully unspecified spatial relations not only to Krem –>Mura, Krem –>Mura 3b, and Krem –>Mura 3 but also to all the other cave enrances in the same vicinity. POSITION 1: WGS84 (±8.3 m) N25°19'20.6”: E092°30'30.8”: est. 1075 m asl (M.W. Brown 08.02.2001). POSITION 2: WGS84 (bogus ±10 m) N25°19'20.3”: E092°30'30.4” (R. Yengkhom 2009.02.23, Garmin Etrex)POSITION 3: WGS84 (ignored EPE) N25°19'20.5”: E092°30'30.4” (AA in: Arbenz, T 2009.06.01 Mss: total 2009.xls). APPROACH: To reach the cave entrance, Brooks (2009.02.24 Mss: Krem Mura 3) suggests to leave [the] village centre to east on [a] well defined path and steps to reach a Shaktiman track [i.e. a rough 4WD track]. Follow this Shaktiman track for [an estimated] 100 m ownhill. Leave the Shaktiman track [at an unspecified point without GPS position] on right (south) and descend slope [for an unspecified distance] to an obvious gully [without GPS position]. This leads to [the entraance of] Krem Mura 3. CAVE DESCRIPTION 2009: Brooks (2009.02.24 Mss -Krem Mura 3- location) points out that Krem Mura 3 … has a main shaft and a second, parallel shaft but never came back to the latter. Brooks (2009.02.24 Mss -Krem Mura 3- location): Main shaft is a rift / fissure 10/12 m long and 4 to 5 m wide. Descends for 35 m (40 m) to reach comfortable walking size (3 m x 1.5 m) streamway that descends gently [with the exception?] of a few short free climbs. After approximately 180 m a second shaft of 10 m depth [note 4] is reached [which is] followed by [an about] 30 m of 2 m x 1 m [large: width? by height?] streamway [passage] to 3rd pitch of 26 m. [This 3rd pitch is] immediately followed by a 4th pitch of 13 m that lands at the base of an aven with a pool covering mst of the floor. From here, a 2 m by 0.9 m [large: width? by height?] passage runs to north-east, getting gradually lower and more sediment filled to reach at 'Too Low' [a combined] squeeze / duck after 45 m. Brooks, S J et al. (2009 Mss -Diary 2009.doc- Tuesday 24th February) noticed a shaft descending an estimated 40 m down into a horizontal active streamway trending generally NNE which reaches after an estimated 180 m a 10 m descent down to an estimated more than 50 m deep shaft (Monday 23rd February), which consisted of a … 26 m pitch followed by a 13 m pitch that led to a narrow rift passage that lowered to a canal and duck with low airspace. TACKLE: Brooks (2009.02.24 Mss: Krem Mura 3) lists Entrance 50 m SRT, 2 hangers, 1 sling + slings for deviation. Bamboo Pit Viper Pitch 10 m SRT 2 hangers & 2 maillons. Happy Pitched: 60 m rope, 4 hangers + maillons, 2 slings (pitches 3 & 4) 2 krabs.CAVE CONTENTS: Brooks (2009.02.24 Mss: Krem Mura 3) noticed stalagmites, stalactites (speeothems) in addition to rocks, pebbles, gravelly sediments. CAVE POTENTIAL: Brooks (2009.02.24 Mss: Krem Mura 3) judges the prospects to survey and explore mor of this cave is poor as it reaches [a] low duck - no air current (note 5). On the other hand, one should keep in mind that it is located in the same area as Mura 1 & 2 and could connect to these. SPELEOMETRY: Brooks (2009.03.10 Mss: Overview 2009): Krem Mura 3 with a vertical entrance series comprising of pitches of 35 m, 5 m, 26 m and 13 m with a total of 400 m of passage (sic! qua: survey length). Brooks (2009.02.24 Mss: Krem Mura 3) recorded Length: 400.46 m at a vertical range of 93.95 (+0/–95.95 but pleads Thomas can you add exact depth. Arbenz, T (2009.06.01 Mss: total 2009.xls) lists 400.46 m (23.02.2009). CAVE CLIMATE: Brooks (2009.02.24 Mss: Krem Mura 3) noticed on 24th February 2009 (unspecified time) no air current in connection with the cave potential. CAVE LIFE: Brooks (2009.02.24 Mss: Krem Mura 3) lists crabs (blak) (pigmented Brachiyura), fish (small, brown / white) (Pisces, unspecified size, pigmented, unpigmented), shrimps (Palaemonida), spider (Arachnida: Aranaea), cave crickets (Orthoptera), snake (beleived [sic!] to be a bamboo pit viper) (Reptilia) as it looked like a green snake, 50 cm long (Jean-Pierre Bartholeyns, Joanne -Jo- Hardy, and Vikram Singh Kirola in: Brooks, S J et al. 2009 Mss -Diary 2009.doc- Tuesday 24th).eothems) in addition to rocks, pebbles, gravelly sediments.
