Description

Several platforms have been built along a 100 m stretch of cliff face, housing several Buddhas and other religious imagery. 6 to 8 m above the largest platform is a remarkable series of rock paintings that are probably of prehistoric origin, although there is some doubt as to their authenticity. Fragments of bone can be seen embedded in sediments cemented to the bedrock up to 4 m from the ground. The concrete floor is built on top of thick layers of prehistoric deposits, now well protected from the ravages of time.
