Tham Pha Baen - LO0035
17.916187,101.759586
Location
The cave is signed off the H211 just north of Ban Pha Baen. Follow the good gravel road to where the cave is signed off to the left along a laterite road. This goes past the Huai Tham reservoir and ends at the wat. The cave is about 10m up the side of the hill with a very rough set of steps up to it.
Description
A monk at the wat said the cave was long, but on a visit in October 2007 was too wet. A quick look revealed about 100m of passage. A second visit in June 2009 did not reveal any further passages. There were a couple of small resurgences in the grounds of the wat. The cave is reputed to go all the way to the Mae Nam Mae Khong river which is about 3km to the west.
