Location

2.5 km south-east of Ban Muang Phaem, accessible part of the way on a 4WD track in the dry season. Follow along the main stream past Tham Chedi until you reach a major side valley on the right after about 1.5 km. The path crosses the main stream and follows a tributary stream for 200 m before veering south east into a dry side valley. The small cave entrance is at the base of a low cliff on the south side of the valley after 300 m. Martin Ellis - 27/04/2020

Description

Martin Ellis - 27/04/2020

The entrance is a low square crawl adjacent to an intermittent spring at the foot of a low cliff. It was originally only 60 cm high, but has been widened and gated by local villagers. After few metres crawl the cave opens into the main passage, 4-12 m wide and up to 10m high, meanders along an old streamway for 500 m with an earth and sand floor with some fine decoration. After 500 m a small permanent stream is met which can be followed for a short distance before it disappears into the large muddy terminal rockfall which has no obvious leads
