Description
A 4 m by 4 m wide cave entrance gives access to a 61.76 m deep pothole of which nothing has become known except that at least another 10 m (or so) continue to descend from the bottom of the -surveyed- (tape spotter standards) part of the cave. SITUATION 1: At an unknown location between two very large shakeholes without identified dimensions, shape or orientation, which lie somewhere on the eastern side of the Shnongrim ridge at a spot south-east of family home of Mr. Carlyn Phyrngap (near N25°20'23.5-: E092°30'03.1-) on road to Shnongrim village. Descend east side of ridge on jungle paths (guide required) to N25°20'27.7-: E092°30'24.8-. The entrance is 3 m further in a jungle (machete required) (Ware & Bayley 2002.02.23 Mss: Krem [deleted: Krang II] survey eibeied as Krem Krang II). SITUATION 2: At an unknown location somewhere on the eastern side of the Shnongrim ridge at a spot that could be reached From the family home of Mr. Carlyn Phyrngap (near N25°20'23.5-: E092°30$*03.1-) on road to Shnongrim village in a south-easterly direction: Descend with guide on jungle paths to position N25°20'27.7-: E092°30'24.8- and the entrance lies 3 m further (machete / wait) in the jungle (Ware & Harries, undated 2002.02.24 Mss: Krem Krang No. 2).CAVE DESCRIPTION 1: Entrance circa 4 m by 4 m. Depth estimated 50 m. Appears to be a side passage at approximately 10 m depth (Ware & Bayley 2002.02.23 Mss: Krem [deleted: Krang II] survey eibeied as Krem Krang II).CAVE DESCRIPTION 2: A constricted pitch head (without identified dimensions) at a surveyed depth of 61.76 m marks the point of return due to lack of rope. In spite of the constricted size of the -67 m pitch head, a presumably 10 m deep pitch seems to continue for some 10 m (or so) to what looks like a base from where, when peeping down from the awkward position above, an apparent way on is not visible (after Ware & Harries undated 2002.02.24 Mss: Krem Krang No. 2). CAVE CLIMATE: At an unspecified time on 24thFebruary 2002 there existed no draft (sic!) and Ware & Harries (undated 2002.02.24 Mss: Krem Krang No. 2) never arrived at drafting any cave plan but probably wanted to say having noticed -no draught- (air current).
