EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2001.02.18: Larsing Sukhlain reported the cave name Krem Moolasngi to B. D. Kharpran Daly, in company with H. Daniel Gebauer, Betsy 'Betty' Chhakchhuak, Christine Jantschke, Herbert Jantschke and Vivian 'Bibi' Kharnaior. 2006.02.26, trip 1: Ekna Sukhlain guided Brian D. Kharpran Daly, Hugh Penney, Desmond 'Des' McNally, Terence 'Terry' M. Withaker to the entrance of Krem Labbit [deleted: Moolysngi] Moolesngi 3 (McNally 2006.02.26 Mss: Meghalaya Cave Record) and another ten new pots (JARRATT 2006: 16) where they recorded one GPS position (Arbenz, T 2006.05.21 Mss) at Krem Labbit (Moolesgni) 3 (Arbenz, T 2006.05.21 Mss). 2006.02.28, trip 2: Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt and Henry Rockcliff descend shaft and begin survey / exploration of trunk passage below (Brooks 2006 undated Mss amendments to McNally 2006.02.26 Mss). 2007.02.03, trip 3: Henry Rockcliff re-rigged the entrance shaft: Saturday 3rd Feb: Henry R, Tony B. [Boycott, Antony 'Tony'], Jan [Jayne Stead], Brian C. [Brian Cullen], and Robin [Robin Sheen] went to Krem Labbit Moolasgni [Krem Moolesngi = Krem Labit Moolesngi 3]. Henry re-rigged the shaft, Robin and Brian had a look around with him. Tony and Jane recce’d some other shafts in the area, but weren’t sure which had been looked at by Terry [Terence Whitaker] last year (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). 2007.02.05, trip 4: Monday 5th Feb: Henry R and Quentin ['Cooper' Cowper] went to Krem Labbit Moolasgni [sic!] and surveyed upstream through some swims until the passage terminated in a sump (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). According to JARRATT & DAWSON (2007), On the 5th … Henry R. and Quentin surveyed upstream through deep water in K.L.(M).3 to reach a sump – almost certainly the downstream end of the sump at the end of Video Passage in the 22 km long Krem Liat Prah system. 2007.02.06, trip 5: Des [Desmond McNally], Quentin and Henry R went to Krem Labbit Moolasgni. Henry Rfound he had forgotten his SRT kit so walked back to camp. Des and Quentin descended part way down and then walked back to camp, joining Tony B. and Jane on the walk (Brooks 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). 2007.02.07, trip 6: Henry R. climbed into some high level passages in Krem Labbit Moolasgni with Brian C., Neil and Quentin surveyed the first of these passages to a point very near Krem Rubong (Brooks 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). According to JARRATT & DAWSON (2007), On the 7th … Henry R, aided by Brian C, climbed into high level passages in K.L.(M).3. One of these was surveyed by Neil and Quentin to a point very close to the attractive resurgence cave of Krem Rubong 1. 2007.02.08, trip 7: Henry R., Robin and Henry D. went upstream and surveyed down the streamway exit passage, past many side passages still ongoing (Brooks 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). According to JARRATT & DAWSON (2007), Next day they returned with Mark B, Henry D. and Robin and continued the survey to a bouler choke where they fortuitously heard Pete G, Phillippa, Thomas, Barbara and Brian K.D. who were on a photographic trip in Rubong 1. 2007.02.08, trip 8: Mark took some photos on the pitch then went with Neil, Quentin and Brian C into the high level passage they had begun the day before. They surveyed to a boulder choke, where the streamway was met. Upon investigating the choke they heard the team [Peter 'Pete' and Philippa Glanvill, Thomas Arbenz, Barbara Anne am Ende and Brian D. Kharpran Daly] in Krem Rubong. A boulder was moved and connection made. The surveys were joined together and the united teams exited via Rubong for tea at the Dukan Sha (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). 2007.02.09, trip 9: Henry R, Philippa, Neil and Quentin went down Krem Labbit Moolasgni. They went upstream to resurvey series 4, 5, 6 and 7 (the loops weren’t closing). Two crawls were pushed. Both draughting, one very tight (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). 2007.02.0, trip 10: Robin, Henry D and Pete G. also went to Krem Labbit Moolasgni. Pete took photos on the pitches and the upstream passage. They also surveyed in the upstream downstream passage (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). 2007.02.09, trip 11: Henry R., Quentin, Neil and Philippa headed for resurveying the upstream end and fossil loop (5th time as there appear to be ghosts in the instruments), and found instruments reading had been good all along: could the cave be magnetic?? After that they headed into a low crawl that started near the resurveyed fossil loop that Neil found the day before and draughted very strongly. This got progressively smaller to a promising dig through boulders into something larger (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). 2007.02.09, trip 12: Mark, Robin and Henry D.surveyed the passage downstream of the entrance shaft, to a point where it linked in with the fossil passage heading to the Rubong connection. They then met Tony B., JRat ad Jane, coming in from Krem Rubong, and guided them to the base of the shaft. SRT kits were collected and the amalgamated group exited the cave through Krem Rubong in time for a brew at the Dukan Sha (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). 2007.02.11, trip 13: Neil, Robin, Henry D. went to Krem Labbit Moolasgni to complete the survey of upstream downstream passage (over 500 m). They then went to a draughting inlet in the main stream way and located a large passage heading under the village of Moolasgni (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). According to JARRATT & DAWSON (2007), Neil, Robin and Henry D. completed the streamway survey and located a large, ongoing inlet. 2007.02.12, trip 14: Neil, Phillippa [sic! qua Philippa Glanvill] and Quentin went to Krem Labbit Moolasgni to push and survey the draughting inlet off the main stream way, which was a flat out crawl ending in [sic! for: leading to / giving access to] an aven (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Dary2007.doc). According to JARRATT & DAWSON (2007), the K.L.(M).3 inlet was pushed next day by Neil, Phillippa [sic! qua Philippa Glanvill] and Quentin along 120 m of flat out crawl to an aven. 2007.02.13, trip 15: Frazer, Neil and Brian C. de-rigged Krem Labbit Moolasgni, Krem Wah Sarok 3 and Krem Wah Sning and did some filming (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). 2007.02.15, trip 16: Henry R., Ian and Brian C. went down Krem Labbit Moolasgni after Henry R and Neil had re-rigged it. They went upstream in the Sound of Silence, then surveyed a crawl at the top of one of the bolt climbs completed previously. The crawl went NE then closed down into a tight dig through breakdown (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). 2007.02.15, trip 17: Neil, Quentin and Philippa went downstream to the inlet by the traverse line to survey 686 m of passage that ended in a very large aven (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). According to JARRATT & DAWSON (2007), Hnry R, Ian, Brian C, Quentin, Phillippa and Neil continued surveying inlets both up and downstream. 2007.02.16, trip 18: Quentin, Henry R, and Neil went into Krem Labit Moolasgni to survey the downstream passage towards Krem Rubong, also some high levels and other bits that needed tying up (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). According to JARRATT & DAWSON (2007), Quentin, Henry R. and Neil continued tidying up the survey. 2007.02.17, trip 19: Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt, Quentin 'Cooper' Cowper and Philippa Glanvill went recce’ing around the Krem Waipong [sic! perhaps for: Krem –>Wapong / Wah Pong / Wahpong] area to find three strong hot steaming draughting caves, that hopefully are near the Krem Labit Moolasgni [i.e. Krem Labit (Moolesngi) 3] upstream inlet present terminus (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). 2007.02.18, trip 20: Anthony 'Tony' Jarratt deposited weapons of cave destruction with the help of Neil Pacey and Quentin 'Cooper' Coper when they had … removed a boulder, which allowed easier access to dig the end of 'All bound for Moomooland”. They dug at the small hole but progress to the aven was blocked by a boulder. They left a crowbar and a reflector (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). According to JARRATT & DAWSON (2007), Neil, Quentin and your scribe, back down K.L.(M).3, removed a boulder in the promising but low and exceedingly grotty 'All Bound for Moomooland”. Beyond, more squalor led to a view through an impassable rift into bigger stuff beyond but without bang or caps there was no way of getting through into what was assumed to be part of Liat Prah. The hoped for major link was thus left for a determined siege next year. A crowbar and reflector were left in the rift in case it could be found from the far side. 2007.02.21, trip 21: Quentin 'Cooper' Cowper, Henry Rockcliff and Brian Cullen tidied up some upper level leads in the inlet stream that ended in avens (Brooks, S J et a. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). Neil [Pacey] was meant to join them but forgot his helmet so he borrowed Quentin’s GPS, walked back and located a rift passage near Krem Mihdihtli. He then walked to Shnongrim and found three shafts that could be Krem skap 1, 2 and 3. According to JARRATT & DAWSON (2007), Quentin, Henry R. and Brian C. tidied up the survey. 2007.02.24, trip 22: Henry Rockcliff, Katharina 'Kate' Janossy, Mark E. Tringham and Rhys J. Williams explored two climbs on the upstream passage. The first went circa 50 m, the 2nd went circa 20 m and both closed down. A third climb, which was on the left of the downstream passage, a squeeze was dug and a further 25 m was gained. The cave was derigged on the way out (Brooks, S J et al. 2007.03.01 Mss: Diary2007.doc). According to JARRATT & DAWSON (2007), Kate, Henry R, Mark T. and Rhys pushed three climbs, which led to short lengths of passage. 2007.12.09: Arbenz, T (2007.12.09 Mss: ein paar restchen) stumbled among photocopie of survey books across three survey series which the original cave encroachers had forgotton to add to the survey data file: Having done that I can tell you the new total for Krem Labit Moolesngi is 3824.47 metres. 2008.02.05, trip 23: Henry and Guillaume rigged Krem Labbit Moolasngi 3 (KLM) and then went upstream towards the sump and dug a channel to possibly lower the sump (Brown et al. 2008 Mss: Meghalaya 2008 diary: Tuesday 5th February). 2008.02.10, trip 24: Henry and Guillaume went down Krem Wah Sarok 3 to the sump at the end of Video Passage in Liat Prah. At the same time Robin, Anne and Jrat went to the upstream sump in KLM to see if a connection was possible. It turned out that the channel dug on the 5th to lower the sump had worked and both groups were able to talk to each other through a one inch airspace. A tape was floated through and it was found to be a 3 m long duck, which Robin dived to connect the caves [note 9]. This made the Krem Liat Prah System 30347.42 m long (rown et al. 2008 Mss: Meghalaya 2008 diary: Sunday 10th February). Anthony 'Tony' R. Jarratt (2008.02.14 Mss 'Logbook' 14: 114) erroneously reports to have discovered on 10th February 2008 in Krem Labbit (Moolasngi) 3 … connection to Krem Liat Prah making cave 30 km + (mcra.org.uk/logbooks/?dir=jrat accessed 2008.12.05). 2008.02.12, team 1, trip 25: Tony B, Des and Sharon went to Krem Rubong to rig the climb and ladder pitch for the connection to KLM and went through the boulder choke to the first climb (Brown et al. 2008 Mss: Meghalaya 2008 diary: Tuesday 12th February). 2008.02.12, team 2, trip 26: Guillaume, Jeff and Anne went to KLM where Guillaume took photos of pitches and passage, then Jeff de-rigged (Brown et al. 2008 Mss: Meghalaya 2008 diary: Tuesday 12th February).
