Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 06/01/2018

Nothing has become known of an unxplored, overgrown shaft (estimated 3 m by 5 m wide and 10 m deep) which may be climbable (Brown, M W 2001.02.08 Mss: Krem Laba). ETYMOLOGY: The recorded cave name Krem Laba (Brown, M W 2001.02.08 Mss: Krem Laba) looks a lot like a corruped Synteng Khasi -Krem Lawbah- (note 1) but Brown opted for believing that -laba- is the name of the cow which fell in (note 2). SITUATION: In an unidentified setting on the eastern side of the Shnongrim Ridge, somewhere in the vicinity of the village of Tongseng (N25°19'28-: E92°30'05” WGS84) and, according to disputable GPS position, which Brown cared to record with an unidentified precision error, some 10 m approximately northwest from the so-called –>Laba Rift. Mark W Brown (2001.02.08 Mss: Krem Laba), however, clearly points out that he understood that the cave entrance to this Krem Laba (or so) lies in an unspecified setting and in unexplicable spatial relations to each and every of all the other nearby cave ntrances and landmarks.ntrances and landmarks.
