HONEYCOMB CAVE 4 (aa -)

A cave entrance without identified characteristics, shape or dimensions faces an unidentified direction and gives access to pothole / seasonal stream sink (Simon J. Brooks based on H Rockcliffs notes 2009.06.06 Mss: Krem Honey-Comb 4). SITUATION: Not only somewhere in area with little known cave (Brooks 2009.06.06 Mss: Krem Honey-Comb 4: Prospects) but also in an inexplicable location (note 1), which falls on the Lyngtah quadrangle (N25°17': E092°31' to N25°18': E092°32') and lies at a spot without identified spatial relation to the other known cave entrances in the Um Muju area (note 2). CAVE DESCRIPTION 1 (Brooks, S J et al. 2009 Mss -Diary 2009.doc- Thursday 19th February): One of eleven allegedly … nine new caves, all of them with vertical entrances under the big broken boulders. Most of them are drafting [sic! more likely: draughting] and oulook [sic!] of all the caves are good. CAVE DESCRIPTION 2 (Brooks 2009.06.06 Mss: Krem Honey-Comb 4): Stream sink into cross-rift / coss-joint. Large boulder over entrance. Estimated depth ±20 m. PROSPECTS: Good (Brooks 2009.06.06 Mss: Krem Honey-Comb 4). CAVE CLIMATE: Brooks based on H Rockcliffs notes (2009.06.06 Mss: Krem Honey-Comb 4) recorded good draught from entrance.oss-joint.
