Dead Robber Waterfall Cave [CM0097]

Location
This cave is within the grounds of the Doi Ang Khang Royal Project. Follow the road round the Project in an anti-clockwise direction and after a hundred metres a cliff can be seen on the right hand side. A path leads down to the bottom of the valley where upstream leads to Sink CM0159 while downstream leads to the narrow entrance is at the bottom of the gulley.
Description
The 64 m entrance pitch is small at the surface, but soon bells out and lands in a stream passage where the water comes in from the south via an unclimbed 10 m waterfall. The stream heads east and drops down a 20 m pitch into a sump formed on a rift. From the bottom of the entrance pitch the passage heads north and narrows to 5 m wide for a few metres before opening up into a huge passage. This is 30 m wide by 15 m high and descends at 45 deg down a boulder slope with large flowstone deposits and other speleothems. At the bottom of the slope, after 100 m, the cave levels off and the floor is gravel with the stream rejoining the cave from a small passage from the east (right). After a further 100 m the passage reduces to 10 m width for 50 m before opening up again into another large passage/chamber which is of similar dimensions to the previous. A second stream joins the cave from a high level passage on the right and this second chamber is also about 100 m long and is gravel floored with a bank of boulders and flowstones on the left (west). A 10 m pitch at the end of the second chamber drops down into much smaller passage and the stream descends a series of climbs and rapids with a bedrock floor. After passing a tight duck there is a 10 m and then a 15 m pitch. Below the 15 m pitch the cave has been pushed through the wet crawl at the end to a chamber with a couple of small inlets. Another short, wet climb ends in a sump pool.
