Altogether four parallel rifts in gully (McNally 2008.02.17 Mss -B12 B12- evaluation) were fully understood to consist of four clean-washed pots (rift) in gully (McNally 2008.02.17 Mss -B12 B12- description). SITUATION 1: Alys Mendus (anonymous amendment to McNally 2008.02.17 undated Mss: B12 B12) had the impression this so-called B12 cave lies just before Lumthari village. SITUATION 2: Brooks, S J (anonymous amendment to McNally undated 2008.02.17 Mss: B12 B12) confirms that this so-called B12 cave is found anywhere in a certain Lumthari area without defined limits. SITUATION 3: Sheen (2008.11.07 Mss: B12.doc) increases confusion with stating B12 50 m SS/W B13 ¬ N25 22 17.4 ¬ E 092 32 33.5 and this brilliantly non-sensical correlation allows all sorts of interpretation (note 1). SITUATION 4: According to the recorded GPS positions, B12 lies at a linear distance of 56.4 m approximately east (56.0 m east, -6.2 m north) from –>AA Cave B13. APPROACH 1: McNally (2008.02.17 undated Mss: B1 B12) suggested to search for this cave entrance on occasion of an easy walk down from … an unspecified point (without GPS position) on the … road just south of GPS for cave. APPROACH 2: According to Arbenz, T (2008 Mss -Fieldbook- page 11), the access is unclear - but ... somewhere between Knee Wrecker Pots and the village of Lumthymme whilst the cave potential [needs] to be located and verified. CAVE DESCRIPTION: One of several fully undistinguished rifts can be used as a sports training device that fully allows to apply caving skills by performing to descend … down 20 metres to a wet rifty passage heading towards B13 (Brown et al. 2008 Mss: Meghalaya 2008 diary: Thursday 14th February). As matters metres, it is quite enlighting to see that the 20 m deep descend (Brown et al. 2008 Mss) down into the about 10 or 15 m deep rift pot (McNally 2008.02.17 Mss -B12 B12- undated) yielded a surveyed (sic!) depth of 15.66 m (anonymous Mendus amendment to McNally 2008.02.17 Mss).
