Description
An unspecified cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) is said to give access to a relatively »roomy dry passage to choke which once may have been connected to Krem Umlawan 6 a-b« (Jarratt 1998.02.23 Mss: Cave Log 1998: 23/2/98). SITUATION: On one or the other »left-hand« or, more likely, east side of the National Highway NH44 and about 300 m in a direct line approximately north of the cave entrances to Krem –>Umkhang. The cave entrance to Krem –>Umlawan 4 lies about 30 m in a direct line further north-west.
Histoire
EXPLORATION HISTORY: 1997.03.02: Spirit Lamare and Worling Lamare guided Boycott, Antony 'Tony' and Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt to the entrance. According to S J Brooks, they are shown on »97-3-2 … four entrances, all called Krem Um Lawan, and all previously unknown [to foreign cavers unfamiliar with the area]. Investigations reveal that one entrance is choked, and the other three have pitches for which the team have no tackle to enable a descent to be made« (Brooks, S J in: BROOKS, S J et al 1998: 30). 1998.02.23: Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt and Brian Johnson "surveyed" (sports caver standards) 40.67 m to a degree yielding a "survey" (total sum of survey leg lengths) but no cave survey (cave plan).
