Description
A large open pot (Sheen 2003.02.15 Mss: Knee Wreck Pot Cave 3) that takes water (Ende 2007.02.11 Mss) is estimated to drop 40 m (Sheen 2003.02.15 Mss) or 3 sec (Ende 2007.02.11 Mss) to presumably visible river passage. The access, however, is a little difficult as it would involve debris cleaning. SITUATION 1: At an unidentified location somewhere on the western slope of the Shnongrim ridge in the region above Liat Prah and somehow below the village of Lumthymme (Lumthymmei). Needless to say the third Knee-Wrecker Pot was understood to lie in an inexplicable spatial relation with the other Knee-Wrecker Pots in the same area. SITUATION 2 (Ende 2007.02.11 Mss): Descend ridge just south of ravine (N25°21'58.5”: E092°31'19.0” (±7 m): 1072 m asl). Head into valley to south a 1st sign of bamboo. First are limestone pinnacles, then Knee-Wrecker Pot 4, over a slight rise and immediately down into the deeper and larger KWP3. POSITION 1: (±11 m, WGS84) N25°22'01.0”: E92°31'10.0”: 1074 masl (note 1). POSITION 2: (±7 m, WGS84) N25°22'05.1-: E92°31'15.5”: 1048 m asl (note 2). POSITION 3: (±16 m, WGS84) N25°22'00.3”: E92°31'08.8”: 1030 m asl (note 3). CAVE DESCRIPTION (Ende 2007.02.11 Mss): Probably more than 20 m across. From the west there is a 10 m drop to a ledge. It's a 3 sec drop to the bottom. The shaft intersects a joint with a trend of 240°. PROSPECTS 1: Sheen (2003.02.15 Mss): Very good. PROSPECTS 2: Ende (2007.02.11 Mss): Unclear. Either this is a huge, impressive shaft that ought to be investigated OR … it's Woodcutter's Shaft discovered by exploring the cave from inside Knee-Wrecker Pot 2.A large open pot (Sheen 2003.02.15 Mss: Knee Wreck Pot Cave 3) that takes water (Ende 2007.02.11 Mss) is estimated to drop 40 m (Sheen 2003.02.15 Mss) or 3 sec (Ende 2007.02.11 Mss) to presumably visible river passage.
