Description
An unspecified cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) amongst the boulders on the SW side of the doline is said to give access to approximately 40 m of dry network of small chambers and passages with ancient flowstone of unknown age (anonymous Arbenz, T et al. 2013.08.07 Mss: Diary 2012.doc after David -Cookie- Cook). SITUATION: The entrance to this cave lies in the bottom of a relatively large doline (with unknown dimensions, an unidentified shape and unspecified peculiarities) and not only amongst the boulders on the SW side of the doline but also in spatial relations to other known caves entrances, that is to say: I. KL2 was GPS’d at N25 26 14.7 / E92 35 48.5 with +-19 m accuracy [sic! qua: precision error]. II. KL3 is 30 m and 60deg from KL4 III. KL2 is 20 m and 90deg from KL3 IV. KL5 is 15 m and 70deg from KL2 V. KL6 is 15 m and 110deg from KL2 (anonymous Arbenz, T et al. 2013.08.07 Mss: Diary 2012.doc).POSITION: Since KL3 is 30m and 60deg from KL4 (anonymous Arbenz, T et al. 2013.08.07 Mss: Diary 2012.doc) one is tempted to surmise that the cave entrance to KL4 lies 30 m (about 0.7 seconds) on a bearing of 240° from the GPS position (N25°26'14.7”: E092°35'47.8”) recorded for cave entrance to KL3 and thus near I. near (circa ±30 m) N25°26'14.3”: E092°35'46.6” / N25.437306°: E92.596278° (calculated after KL3 is 30 m and 60deg from KL4 in: anonymous Arbenz, T et al. 2013.08.07 Diary 2012.doc) and II. XXX m in a directline approximately XXX from the GPS position II. near (±97 m) N25°26'14.7”: E092°35'48.5”: 747 m asl (Cooke, D 19.02.2012 GPS Garmin 12) for the cave entrances to Krem Lamyliang 4,5&6 (Arbenz, T 2013.11.25 Mss ”Krem Lamyliang 4,5&6 David Cooke 23rd Feb 2010” = Krem Lamyliang 4,5&6.doc). APPROACH 2012: One or the other of the five distinct cave entrances to [Krem] Lamyliang 1&2 [sic! qua: 2&3], as well as 4,5&6 can be reached by negotiating an unspecified distane of about 180 m either along a winding route or, perhaps, in a direct line approximately west from the cave entrance to Krem –>Lamyliang 1 (modified after Arbenz, T 2013.11.25 Mss ”Krem Lamyliang 4,5&6 David Cooke 23rd Feb 2010” = Krem Lamyliang 4,5&6.doc). CAVE DESCRIPTION 2013: KL4 entrance (1 m x 1 m) amongst boulders on the SW side of the doline gives access to a relatively a dry network of small chambers and passages with ancient-looking flowstone of unknown age (Arbenz, T 2013.11.25 Mss ”Krem Lamyliang 4,5&6 David Cooke 23rd Feb 2010” = Krem Lamyliang 4,5&6.doc). CAVE CLIMATE: As far as known on Sundays and, for that matter, at an unspecified time especially on 19th Feb 2012 … there is a draught (anonymous Arbenz, T et al. 2013.08.07 Mss: Diary 2012.doc).e of about 180 m either along a winding route or, perhaps, in a direct line approximately west from the cave entrance to Krem –>Lamyliang 1 (modified after Arbenz, T 2013.11.25 Mss ”Krem Lamyliang 4,5&6 David Cooke 23rd Feb 2010” = Krem Lamyliang 4,5&6.doc). EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2012.02.19: David 'Cookie' Cooke, Ross Davidson, Nicola 'Nicky' Bayley and Richard Hudson undertook on 19th Feb 2012 (Sunday) … some jungle bashing with Richard wielding the machete, they reached their objective, Krem Lamyliang 2 & 3. … Nicky spotted a new entrance [of unknown age, new exclusively to people who are unfamiliar with the area] amongst the boulders on the SW side of the doline (Krem Lamyliang 4). Cookie explored it [note 1] for approximately 40 m (anonymous Arbenz, T et al. 2013.08.07 Diary 2012.doc).
