Description
Very interesting, if not revealing observations made the effective cave explorers Anthony 'Tony' Jarratt and Graham Marshall by one one Evermore (E. Raplang or E. Sukhlain) in the case of what appears to be a pothole at which, after only three explorations trips and at a cost of mere 9 man-days, nothing but an amount of lengthwise measured metres (estimated 14 m without cave plan) has become known in spite of applying violent and destructive -exploration- techniques. SITUATION 1 (Marshall 2005.02.23 Mss, literally quoted): Heading down from main path which lus 500 nores NE from site of old village. at an unidentified position (without coordinates).SITUATION 2 (Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt 2006.03.04 Mss -Cave Log- 13, entry 06/2/8): … on a ridge below Shnongrim hill fort. SITUATION 3 (JARRATT 2006: 6): Somewhere in the Lum Manar area. SITUATION 4 (Brooks circa 2006.10.31 undated Mss amendments to Marshall 2005.02.23 Mss -Krem Kya 3- dated 23/2/05, 8/2/06): In an unspecified spatia relation near to Krem Kya 1 & 2 Lum Manar area. CAVE DESCRIPTION 1 (Jarratt 2005.03.06 Mss -Cave Log- 12: 46, entry 22/2/05): Kya 3 is a c.10 m deep pot that Evermore opened up by digging at the surrounding soil with his wait (note 1). CAVE DESCRIPTION 2 (Marshall 2005.02.23 Mss -Krem Kya 3- dated 23/2/05): Circa 10 m. CAVE DESCRIPTION 3 (Jarratt 2006.02.08 Mss amendments to Marshall 2005.02.23 Mss: Krem Kya 3): 10 m deep pot with partly dug open entrance in soil. CAVE DESCRIPTION 4 (Brooks circa 2006.10.31 undated Mss amendments to Marshall 2005.02.23 Mss -Krem Kya 3- dated 23/2/05, 8/2/06): [Deleated: c. 10 m] 14 m … ending in too tight rift. CAVE DESCRIPTION 5 (Arbenz, T 2006.05.21 Mss: Abstracts.xls): 14 m rift too tight. CAVE DESCRIPTION 6 (JARRATT 2006: 6): Too tight at around -15 m. CAVE DESCRIPTION 7 (JARRATT 2006: 20): 5 m long at a vertical range of 5 m. CAVE DESCRIPTION 8 (Jarratt 2006.03.04 Mss -Cave Log- 13, entry 8/2/06): A too tight rift at 14 m depth. PROSPECTS (Brook circa 2006.10.31 undated Mss amendments to Marshall 2005.02.23 Mss: Krem Kya 3): Minimal / nil. circa 2006.10.31 undated Mss amendments to Marshall 2005.02.23 Mss: Krem Kya 3): Minimal / nil.

Jarratt (2005.03.06 Mss 'Cave Log' 13: 46, 22/2/05), Graham Marshall and Fraser E. Simpson. 2005.02.23, trip 2: Graham went with Evermore to GPS the entrances found the previous day (Brooks 2005 Mss: Meghalaya Diary.doc). 2006.02.08, trip 3: Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt (2006.02.08 amendments to Marshall 2005.02.23 Mss: Krem Kya 3): descended, finished accompanied and assisted by Desmond 'Des' McNally, Neil Pacey and Henry Hutson. Anonymous Brown et al. (2006): Wednesday 8th February -- J.Rat, Des, Neil and Henry went to Lum Manar hill fort, then dropped five shafts nearby (Krem Kya 1, 2 and 3, Krem Siat Kriah 1 and 2) each ending in tight rifts after ca. 15 m depth.
