Description
A pothole cave entrance with inexplicable shape and dimensions gives the impression of leading to an estimated 20 m deep pit/ pot or shaft. SITUATION 1: According to Jarratt (2004.02.26 Mss: Angkhat 2), this cave entrance lies in an unexplainable direction just below Krem Angkhat 1 but on the other hand, according to GPS readings, at a linear distance of 14 to 36 m ESE of the first Krem–>Angkhat. SITUATION 2: The recorded GPS positions indicate a spot which lies, at linear distances of about 131.0 m in a direct line approximately north-east from Krem Angkhat 1 (Sheen 2003) and 10.4 m approximately south-west from Krem Angkhat 1 (Jarratt 2004). POSITION 1: N25°20'37.4”: E92°29'51.6” (allegedly ±10 m, WGS84, Joe Duxbury, 26.02.2004, Garmin Etrex): 1094 m asl (uncalibrated wristwatch; in: Jarratt 2004.02.26 Mss: Angkhat 2). POSITION 2: N25°20'37.9”: E92°29'51.6” (without identified horizontal precision error, unspecified geodetic datum, anonymous recorder, unspecified GPS receive GPS Garmin Etrex): 1064 m asl (unspecified method and instrument, in: Arbenz, Thomas 2004.02 Mss: Abstracts.xls). POSITION 3: Northing 25.343722222: Easting 92.497833333 (±0.1 m): Altitude 1096 (Arbenz, T 2007 January dated 1904.01.01 Mss: Eingaenge_Umgerechnet.xls). CAVE DESCRIPTION (Arbenz, T 2004.02 Mss: Abstracts.xls): Vertical: c20m, comment: ud shaft.
