Description
A solution trench which cavers would call a small, just 4 m wide, 5 m deep and not even 290 m long bogaz (note 1) or corridor understood sportsmen in search of recreational adventure tourism to consist of sink & unroofed canyon passages (Sheen 2008.02.11 Mss: Langs#reh Valley Cave) that soon developed into a mostly unroofed canyon (Sheen 2008.02.11 Mss: Langs#reh Valley Cave) and an un-roofed river canyon in the valley … with some roofed sections (Brown et al. 2008 Mss: -Meghalaya 2008 diary- Monday 11th February). SITUATION: Obviously none (note 2). CAVE DESCRIPTION (Sheen 2008.02.11 Mss: Langs#reh Valley Cave): River bed travels through low lying karst in the valley floor in mostly unroofed canyon, averaging 4 m across x 5 m tall.A solution trench which cavers would call a small, just 4 m wide, 5 m deep and not even 290 m long bogaz (note 1) or corridor understood sportsmen in search of recreational adventure tourism to consist of sink & unroofed canyon passages (Sheen 2008.02.11 Mss: Langs#reh Valley Cave) that soon developed into a mostly unroofed canyon (Sheen 2008.02.11 Mss: Langs#reh Valley Cave) and an un-roofed river canyon in the valley … with some roofed sections (Brown et al. 2008 Mss: -Meghalaya 2008 diary- Monday 11th February). EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2008.02.11: It took only a team of six comprised of Robin F. Sheen, Jayne Stead, Elizabeth 'Liz' Stead, Axel Rosen, Guillaume Pelletier and Joel 'Joe' Beauchamp to visit a bogaz. On this occasion, Sheen (2008.02.11 Mss: Langs#reh Valley Cave) gave in to subscribe to a wild notion according to which Jayne, Elitabeth Stead, Robin Sheen surveyed [sic!] this interesting karst feature and a certain Guillaume Pelliteur (Pelletier) took photos to carry them away and back home. Brown, M.W. et al. (2008 Mss: 'Meghalaya 2008 diary' Monday 11th February) were led to believe that Robin, Jayne, Liz, Axel, Guillaume and Joel went to Krem Langshreh to survey the un-roofed river canyon in the valley. C300m+ was mapped with some roofed sections (note 3).
