Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 06/01/2018

A short and unpleasant (Jarratt 2006.03.04 Mss -Cave Log- 13: 74 entry 27/2/06) if not grotty cave (JARRATT 2006: 17), which once or twice was considered to represent a perennial (sic! more likely: seasonal) stream cave offering a small, dry, muddy passage (10 m long?) to an unattempted constriction (Jarratt 2003.02.10 Mss, 2003.02.28 Mss: Krem Ksar 2). SITUATION 1: At an unspecified location somewhere in the Litang flood plain below the village of Daistong on the Nongkhlieh Ridge. SITUATION 2: (Jarratt 2003.02.10 Mss -Cave Log- 13: 74 entry 10/2/03): At the other end of the canyon (bogaz) of Krem Ksar n°1. SITUATION 3 (Jarratt 2003.02.28 Mss: Krem Ksar 2) : A guide is necessary to explain the otherwise inexplicable location of the cave entrance which as understood to lie somewhere at the level of the Litang River's flood plain and far below Daistong village. SITUATION 4 (Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt 2006.03.04 Mss -Cave Log- 13: 74 entry 27/2/06): Around the hill of Krem Khangbru ad in an unexplainable spatial relation with Krem Ksiar 1 and Krem Ksiar 3. SITUATION 5 (JARRATT 2006: 17): Adjacent to Krem –>Ksar 1. POSITIONS: It is unknowable what GPS receivers had displayed on 2003.02.10 when Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt recorded without caring to notice an estimated horizontal precision errors at Krem Ksiar 2 the WGS84 coordinates N25°19,72': E92°33,73' GPS Magellan XL (DD°MM.MM' format) equalling N25°19'43.2”: E92°33'43.8” GPS Magellan XL (DD°MM'SS” format) or N25°19'43.1-: E92°00'43.8- GPS Garmin Etrex (Mss Cave Log 2003); N25°19'43.1-: E92°33'43.8- GPS Garmin Etrex (Megh. Cave Record). SPELEOMETRY: In spite of the so-called -cave survey- not even the dimensions of Krem Ksiar 2 were understood. In a state of mind prefixed on gaining greatest possible maximum of lengthwise measured distances, the would-be -surveyors- simply declared the bogaz (grikes) in the open air as cave passagess (note 1) and, on top of that, even added the length of th surface traverse to the combined lengths of the three caves Krem Ksar 1, 2 and 3, thus yielding a survey total of 134.5 m. Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt (2006.03.04 Mss -Cave Log- 13: 74 entry 27/2/06) estimated a cave passage length of 5 m. surface traverse to the combined lengths of the three caves Krem Ksar 1, 2 and 3, thus yielding a survey total of 134.5 m. Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt (2006.03.04 Mss -Cave Log- 13: 74 entry 27/2/06) estimated a cave passage length of 5 m.
