EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2006.02.14: Menda (perhaps: Mendar Syih) led Anhony 'Tony' R. Jarratt and Neil Pacey to the entrance of Krem Um Manong 3 where Pacey, Menda & Support commenced digging till Cave descended by Pacey (2006.02.14 Mss: 'Krem Um Manong 3' 14/02/06] & Whitaker [Terence 'Terry'). Jarratt (2006.03.04 Mss: Cave Log, vol. XIII: 14/2/06), however, narrates that Menda first showed us a diggable hole in the perennial streambed above Um Manong 1, just below the pine trees. Neil [Pacey] and Menda later dug through a slit squeeze to a 15 m pot, rift passage 5 m long to a junction and a choke climb in the floor. Cave finished. According to JARRATT (2006: 9), The stolid, but rapidly becoming pissed of 'pot bashers' bottomed … Um Manong 3 at -15 m … According to ANONYMOUS (Brown et al. 2006), Tuesday 14th February … Neil and Terry were shown Krem Um Manong 3, which choked after a 15 m drop and short passage. They then failed to find J.Rat and Henry so returned to camp.
