Description
The so-called »Hinko Cave« (PAVEY 1976: 17, item no. 21) is rock shelter below a solitary erratic boulder from which CÍLEK et alii (1989) report »20 cm thick carbonate crusts and stalactites [speleothems] on the lower parts of boulders forming the debris near Hinko rock shelter.« SITUATION: On the way to the base camps of Annapurna and Machhapuchhare in the upper reaches of Modhi Khola. CULTURAL HISTORY - human use: »Hinko Cave« is used as a lodge for backpackers / trekkers.
