Description
A misunderstood fossil (sic! more likely: relic, abandoned by flowing water) and so-called downcut resurgence arrives from a maze of abandoned, interconnected and joint controlled, multilayered chambers, very well decorated with old speleothems (Sheen 2004.02.26 Mss: Krem Lang Shreh 2). ETYMOLOGY: The Khasi noun -ka snap- translates as a relic; the remaining articles (SINGH, N 1906: 206). SITUATION 1: Sheen (2004.02.26 Mss) recorded to have reached Krem Lang Shreh 2 (note 1) from the resurgence of Krem Lang Shreh (note 2) by heading up to the left approximately 100 m [on foot, gaining some 30 m in height] to the north at the foot of scarped cliff edges. Here, there are several entrances to this fossil [sic! for: relic] downcutted resurgence feature. SITUATION 2: Sheen (2004.02.26 Mss) seems to suggest Krem Langshreh 2 (KL2) lies about 100 m north of Krem Langshreh (KL) but according to the GPS positions (recorded with lousy precisions of ±13 m and ±10 m), KL2 lies at a linear, horizonal distance of 56.1 m approximately north-east KL and 31 m higher up.CAVE DESCRIPTION (Arbenz, T 2004.02 Mss: Abstracts.xls): Langshreh 2, length c200m, vertical 20 m, disvovered 26.02.2004 by RS, last visited 26.02.2004. TACKLE: In case one retraces the lines of thought negotiated by Robin Sheen (2004.02.26 Mss: Krem Lang Shreh 2), no caving eqiment is required when visiting this adventure tourist attraction for the sake of using it as a sports training device, except if desired as [there are] several daylight entrances at different levels. PROSPECTS: Sheen (2004.02.26 Mss) had visited parts of this cave without surveying it, estimated approximately 200 m of passage length and had the impression that one draughting lead needs persuasion but judged prospects good, especially if the sinks above at the margin are followed down.al distance of 56.1 m approximately north-east KL and 31 m higher up.CAVE DESCRIPTION (Arbenz, T 2004.02 Mss: Abstracts.xls): Langshreh 2, length c200m, vertical 20 m, disvovered 26.02.2004 by RS, last visited 26.02.2004.
