A gravitational rift (6 m long and up to 1.4 m wide) opens in the back of the 'Famous Rock' (note 1). The free climbable slot drops some 6 vertical metres to 22 m series of S-shaped and slightly descending crawls which lead to a garland of impenetrable fist holes through which daylight is seen. The cave drains a local catchment area of about 500 square metres. SITUATION: To reach the cave, climb up along the crest of the spur rising to the south-west from the upper part of South Lungleng village (ca. 1400 m asl). Having gained some 250 vertical metres, keep to the right and traverse through a forest of large and moss covered trees on the south-western flank of the hill. Proceed into a bouldery area -- rock surfaces show taffoni ranging from a few millimetres to several metres -- and look out for the prominent -Famous Rock- rising at the edge of the ridge (ca. 1650 m asl).A gravitational rift (6 m long and up to 1.4 m wide) opens in the back of the 'Famous Rock' (note 1).
