Two cave entrances give access to a cave in gravitationally dislocated limestone boulders (Number 5 of LINDBERG 1958: 114; 1961a: 6). Characterised by a high ceiling, a dry rocky floor, and a little bird shit (guano). The title Baba Haji (Mecca experienced grandfather) suggests the item is a temple cave, involved in some Muslim saint cult or used as a troglodyte hermitage. SITUATION: South-west of Kabul, some 200 m from the coffe-house at Golbagh (Gulbagh, N34°25'12”: E069°08'03” WGS84, nima.mil/geonames accessed 2003.10.04), and some 20 vertical metres above the right-hand side of the road (from Golbagh) to Dar ol Aman (also: Dar-ul- Aman, Dar-ul- Fanun, Darulfanun, near N34°27'48”: E069°07'04” WGS84, nima.mil/geonames accessed 2003.10.04). CAVE LIFE: LINDBERG (1958: 114) lists Machilida, larval stage Myrmeleonida, Arachnida (Araneida), Acaria.
