Description
A man-made cave entrance to barely passable size gives access to a descending passage with ancient, angled formations [speleothems] ending in a boulder choke after some 10 m and not worth surveying (note 1). SITUATION (after Sheen 2005.02.16 Mss, 2005.08.20 Mss): In a banana filled depression (sic!) that was dug or eaten into till either the cave diggers or the banana eaters were choked. The banana-filled depression was estimated to lie about 30 m (circa one second) approximately south of a GPS waypoint recorded as N 25 21 29.1 E 092 31 37.2 (±7m, GWS 84 (sic!), R.F. Sheen 8/02/05, Garmin Etrex) and hence somewhere in the vicinity of 25°21'28.1”N: 92°31'37.2”E (WGS84). APPROACH 2005.02.15: Just like the approch to –>Um Im Cave 05 because the cave entrances of all the Um Im Caves 2-12 … are very close [to the entrance of Um Im Cave 05] & the best approach is to walk to Um Im 6 / 2-5 (Lost World) first (Brooks, S J 2005.02.15 Mss: Um Im 5 (Shnongrim) 15-2-2005). SPELEOMETRY: Arbenz,T (2008.01.20 Mss) counted Um Im Cave 11 among Caves suspected to connect to Um Im 1 or Um Im 5 or Um Im 6 which are not surveyed or data missing. TACKLE: Excessive appetite and digestives to eat a tunnel into a banana filled depression.T (2008.01.20 Mss) counted Um Im Cave 11 among Caves suspected to connect to Um Im 1 or Um Im 5 or Um Im 6 which are not surveyed or data missing. TACKLE: Excessive appetite and digestives to eat a tunnel into a banana filled depression.
