Two apparently lost cave entrances (note 1) give access to approximately 300 m or 400 m of explored cave galleries with speleothems (some very large and transparent stalactites) which LORD (1838: 533-534 note, 536) reported from a very magnificent natural cavern [note 2] and MASSON (1842-1844, 3: 168) considered a remarkable cave [note 3]. SITUATION: At an elevation of 2000 feet (about 600 m) above the valley floor, and near the summit of a hill without known name (note 4) near a place called Talagud (note 5), which lies at an unspecified distance west of Fuligird, Fuligard, Fúlojird and Fulodschird or Chaharbaghe Farahgerd (note 6). LINDBERG (1958: 143): Lord (B.P.) 1838 … grotte naturelle à Talagud, localité que je n'ai pas pu retrouver (I could not trace down the location of the natural cave near Talagud). Histoire

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 1837, late October (23rd?): Dr. B.P. LORD (1838: 536) and Lieutenant Robert Leech of the Bombay Engineers unexpectedly hit on a very magnificent natural cavern, which we explored (having sent back for torches), to the distance of three or four hundred yards. 1957.07.28-29: Knut LINDBERG (1958: 143) inquired for this cave at Farahgerd and environs.
