MAWSHUN, Dangar - Khar Apri (Krem)

An unspecified cave entrance (unidentified shape, unidentified dimensions, unidentified orientation, unidentified characteristics) was understood to represent little more than an undercut by the side of a deep pool (anonymous Brooks, S J 2012.06.23 Mss: Meghalaya 2012 Diary (Team 2) Edited 10-3-2012.doc). ETYMOLOGY: Unidentified knowledgeable people (no names mentioned) familiar with the area had identified this cave as a limestone cave or -krem mawshun- (note 1) or, perhaps, as a -krem mawsiang- or rock cave (note 2). SITUATION: At an unidentified location (note 3) somewhere in the vicinity of Balat (note 4) and in an unidentified spatial relation by the side of a relatively deep pool (note 5) above one or the other bank of an unidentified stream (no name mentioned) in an unidentified promising looking valley that had been reached by driving with merely three Sumo cars for a distance of some 400 m along a track to the south-west from a populated place, which is said to be either calld Dangar or -- the circumstances being unclear -- Khar Abri [sic!]Village [note 6] (anonymous Brooks, S J 2012.06.23 Mss: Meghalaya 2012 Diary (Team 2) Edited 10-3-2012.doc) or, more likely (note 7), Khar Apri (Brooks, S J 2012.08.15: Meghalaya 2012 - Mawsynram GPS Locations 15-8-2012.doc).
