Description
A relatively small (sic!) stream cave, estimated to be about 10 m long. The exsurgence's outflow channel leading from the cave entrance is 1.2 m wide and 3 m deep and clearly drains a lot of water in flood (Brooks 2000.02.17 Mss: Krem Dupli). APPROACH (note 1): From the tea house in the Litang River valley (and on the road connecting Shnongrim with Nongkhlieh) walk north east along the edge of the valley and head towards a hill (limestone) on the right (east). Walk around the spur and cross open countryside. Head towards another small spur and some buildings situated at the point where the river runs very close to the hill. The cave entrance lies at the head of a small gully on the far side of the spur, at a walking distance of about 1 km from where the Sutnga - Nongkhlieh road crosses Litang river. The cave entrance lies in a narrow gully that is crossed by an obvious footpath running around the end of the aforementioned spur. CAVE DESCRIPTION 1 (Brooks 2000.02.17 Mss: Krem Dupli: A 2 m climb down into the gully leads to a 1.2 m high canal passage with 0.4 m deep water, silt, mud and round pebbles. This has been followed into the cliff for 10 m on a bearing of 110° (about east-south-east). The low, silty and partily flooded tube continues but there is no air draught. CAVE DESCRIPTION 2 (Jarratt 2000.02.15 Mss: Cave Log 2000 entry 15/2/0): Another wet cave in the limestone ridge opposite was entered for a short distance by Simon but also apparently sumps. CAVE POTENTIAL: Brooks (2000.02.17 Mss: Krem Dupli) Krem Dupli … continues but there is no draught – modest potential. Deblaere (2002.02.22 Mss: Krem Dukli) declared the prospects for exploring and mapping Krem Dukli simply as done only because of [deleted: some] low / [deleted: medium] interest: See also Krem Lumbloh. CAVE CLIMATE: Brooks (2000.02.17 Mss: Krem Dupli) draws attention to having noticed on 15th February 2000 the apparent existence of no draught (no time mentioned). CAVE LIFE: Aproximately sall fish without identified size but somehow associated with river (pigmented?), harvestmen [Arachnida: Opiliones], and animal droppings on boulder which (the droppings) could have been from a cat.all fish without identified size but somehow associated with river (pigmented?), harvestmen [Arachnida: Opiliones], and animal droppings on boulder which (the droppings) could have been from a cat.

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 1999.04.03: Larsing Sukhlain reported the name Krem Dukli to B. D. Kharpran Daly and H. D. Gebauer. 2000.02.15: Simon J. Brooks (2000.02.17 Mss: Krem Dupli), guided by one or more unidentified guides (no names mentioned) visited and entered for a cursory inspection without mapping the cave as it was late in day and return to Liten before nightfall needed to be made. 2001.02.18: Mulda Rupon, the Shnongrim village headman, reported the cave name Krem Dukli to Brian D. Kharpran Daly, in company with H. Daniel Gebauer, Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt, Neil Sootinck, Betsy 'Betty' Chhakchhuak and others. 2002.02.22: Christophe Deblaere (undated circa 22.02.2000 Mss: Krem Dukli), guided by one or more unidentified guides (no names mentioned) and in company with one Brian (probably Brian D. Kharpran Daly), visited Krem Dukli and recorded a GPS reading to enter (part of?) the cave in a mood of [deleted: some] low / [deleted: medium] interest: See also Krem Lumbloh and hus simply declared This cave was already surveyed (bullshit) without bothering to map it.
