Description
An unknown number of unexplored (?) man-made rock chambers, the access of which needs tackle (ladder, rope), are reported (note 1) from a site called Mourezhar (Marghozar?, Morghazar?, Murghazar?), a hilly locality overlooking the town of Qades (note 2) from an unspecified distance (note 3) in an unrecognised direction. CAVE DESCRIPTION: Most of these 'caves' are actually filled-in but two cave entrances give access to one of the more spacious of the accessible habitations. Here, a 2 to 3 m large passage leads to a small chamber with a cone-shaped collapse hill in its centre. On the left-hand side of this chamber departs a descending and almost soil choked gallery. A larger gallery on the right-hand side, again descending, is 3 or 4 m long and, to a limited extent, lit by daylight from a round hole in the wall. This gallery leads to spacious chamber (some 2 or 3 m wide, about 7 or 8 m long). On the opposite side of the hill descends a large -rampe- (passage) to the same chamber. CVE LIFE: A large number of bird's nests were found on 30th June and 2nd July 1959 inside the two entrances.VE LIFE: A large number of bird's nests were found on 30th June and 2nd July 1959 inside the two entrances.
