Location
The caves near here are signed off the H1 as Tham Phaya Lue at 47Q 537197 1982949. It is then 33 km to the caves with very few signs! The road skirts around a large open-cast lignite mine before heading east. Just past the village of Ban San Pa Pao take a dirt road that forks to the left. Where this forks, after 3 km, go left to reach a 'picnic area' with toilets. From the end of the dirt road a good wide path leads up to the entrance which is in the hill to the left. Tham Jaeng is the upper of the two caves.
Description
This is a large chamber at the top of the hill with five entrances into it which are on both sides of the hill. The cave is used by monks.
