Description

Brief description and etymology

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 06/01/2018

A reputedly deep pothole or vertical cave (Nokin Dkhar, Shongpnar / Shnongpnar 2001.02.06 personal communication). ETYMOLOGY: Unknown. The origin, history and meaning of the Synteng Khasi (Pnar) cave name Krem Jri Sohkut or, perhaps, Krem Diengjri Sohkut (note 1) has not yet been identified. It seems to refer to a -krem- (cave) associated with a finished fig (note 2).
