Description
Maibong … has a small rock cut temple six metres high [note 1], built by a Kachari king in the mid-sixteenth century (BHATTACHARJI, R 2002: 70). ETYMOLOGY: Maibong (mai = paddy [note 2], bang = bundant [note 3]) (BHATTACHARJI 2002: 70).
