EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2002.02.16: Michael Laumanns, Daniel B. Harries and Robin F. Sheen recorded the GPS position of an anonymous cave No.6 (Laumanns, Harries & Sheen 2002.02.16 Mss 'Cave 6'). 2002.02.22: Robin F. Sheen and his son Ruben Sheen in company with the youngsters Brian Khyriem, Bat Kupar 'Bat' Lyngwa and Ksan Kupar ''Ronnie' Lyngwa visited a cave without name, called it 'Cave G' and recorded a GPS reading (Sheen, Robin F. 2002.02.22 Mss: G; Sheen 2003.02.16 Mss: Krem Synrang Moo). 2002.02.23: Robin F. Sheen and his son Ruben Sheen in company with the youngsters Brian Khyriem and Bat Kupar Lyngwa visited 'Cave G', called it 'Cave L' and copied the GPS position recorded the week before, claiming it to be their own (Sheen, Robin F. 2002.02.21 Mss: Cave L). — 2003.02.09: Anthony 'Tony' R. Jarratt (2003.02.09 Mss 'Logbook' vol. 11: 05) decided on 9th February 2003 to have discovered (sic!) in the locally well-known cave Krem Krang Moo 1 … 100 mof boulder choke to deep pitch (c. 35 m) (mcra.org.uk/logbooks/?dir=jrat accessed 2008.12.05). 2003.02.12: Jarratt (2003.02.09 Mss 'Logbook' vol. 11: 10) narrates to have discovered on 12th February 2003 in Krem Krang Moo 1 … 250 m of attractive, sometimes small inlet and oxbow (mcra.org.uk/logbooks/?dir=jrat accessed 2008.12.05). 2003.02.13: JARRATT (2003) … pressed on in Krang Moo 1 on the 13th but soon reached a deep canal. To avoid this I doffed my slippery wellies and pioneered the 'hairy socks technique' to free climb up a calcite wall into a large, high level series with a long muddy inlet and eventual route back to the stream after several hundred metres. Here we were prevented from rushing along a 20 m high river passage by a large, fallen boulder needing a ladder to descend but we expected big finds next day. Robin, Nigel, Dan and Fiona had that day rigged down to a fine streamway in nearby Krem Synrang (shelter) Krang but were stopped upstream by a lare fallen boulder needing a maypole to ascend. We had missed each other by half an hour or so but now had a connected system later surveyed to 2.668kms and ending in a sump. This major success proved both the accuracy of the GPS entrance positions [Ha Ha] and the survey teams (Ha Ha Ha). Jarratt (2003.02.09 Mss 'Logbook' vol. 11: 10) narrates to have discovered on 13th February 2003 in Krem Krang Moo 1 … 300 m of large muddy stream inlet passage (mcra.org.uk/logbooks/?dir=jrat accessed 2008.12.05). 2003.02.16: Robin F. Sheen, Daniel B. Harries and Nigel Robertson rigged what was nicknamed Pineapple Pot to the top of the Main pitches (Sheen 2003.02.16 Mss: Krem Synrang Moo) claiming 152.2 m 'surveyed' (ho, ho, ho). 2003.02.17: R. F. Sheen, Daniel B. Harries, N. Robertson, Fiona J. Ware (Sheen 2003.02.16 Mss 16/02/03) and Annie U. Audsley rigged down [Pineapple Pot] pitches to enter large streamway, surveyed downstream and upstream to boulder blockage [Sheen 2003.02.16 Mss16/02/03] claiming 358.13 m 'surveyed' (ho, ho, ho). Jarratt (2003.02.09 Mss 'Logbook' vol. 11: 17) narrates having discovered on 17th February 2003 in Krem Krang Moo 1 … 200 m of high breakdown chambers, streamway and canals (mcra.org.uk/logbooks/?dir=jrat accessed 2008.12.05). 2003.02.18: … Dan, Fiona, Nigel and Robin were descending 150 m of broken pitches in 'Cave L' --now Pineapple Pot-- to emerge in 200 m of fine river passage ongoing in both directions. Upstream was a massive boulder blocking the passage. After plotting the survey data it became obvious that this was the same boulder we had found an hour or so previously in the downsteam of Krem –>Krang Moo n°1 (Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt (Mss 'Cave Log 2003' entry 17/2/03, repeated in Brooks, S J et al. 2003 Mss: Diary 2003.doc). 2003.02.18: R. F. Sheen, Daniel B. Harries, N. Robertson, Fiona J. Ware surveyed [Pineapple Pot] upstream to boulder blockage [again?] to meet team [Andreas Neumann, Nigel Robrtson, Fraser Simpson] from Krem Krang Maw side (Sheen, Robin F 2003.02.16 Mss 16/02/03) claiming 224.5 m “surveyed' (ho, ho, ho). 2003.02.18: Nigel, Dan and Fiona returned to Pineapple Pot to survey up to the connection with Krang Moo.1 while Andreas, Fraser and Robin descended Krang Moo to video the event. All then went downstream to video and survey. A massive roof collapse was passed and the stream regained but a diveable sump unfortunately stopped further progress (Anthony 'Tony' R. Jarratt (Mss 'Cave Log' entry 18/2/03, repeated in Brooks, S. J. et al. 2003 Mss: Diary 2003.doc). 2003.02.18: Peter N. F. Dowswell (2003 Mss 'Abode of the Clouds 2003' dated Sunday 18.02.2003): Krem Krang Moo 1 is pushed and surveyed through 30 m of boulder choke and down a 5 m pot to the head of a 45 m pitch - called Beast Pot due to an initial survey leg of 6.66 m! The following day Peter, Andreas, Robin, Shelley and Annie rig the 45 m Beast Pot and survey 80 m of crab inhabited streaway below which is ongoing … 2003.02.19: Robin F. Sheen and Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt survey shakehole to head of 'Beast Pitch' at circa 45 m depth (Sheen 2003.02.16 Mss 16/02/03). Peter Dowswell (2003 Mss 'Abode of the Clouds 2003' entry Sunday 19.02.2003): Monday [19.02.2003] sees a team back … surveying 200 m of high breakdown chambers formed on a major fault and active canals below and are stopped by a 6 m climb down a boulder needing a ladder … Over the next few days further trips are made into Pineapple Pot and the connection with Krem Moo is videoed and surveyed —at this point the combined system is 2.2 km. 2003.02.20: Peter Ludwig, Andreas Neumann, Annie Audsley, Sheley A Diengdoh and Robin Sheen descend 'Beast Pot' and two short pitches to streamway (Sheen 2003.02.16 Mss 16/02/03). 2003.02.21: Daniel B. Harries, N. Robertson, Fiona J. Ware and Derek Pettiglio surveyed 430.57 m. 2003.02.21: Peter Dowswell (2003 Mss 'Abode of the Clouds 2003' entry Friday 21.2.2003): On Friday 21st … A further 300 m is surveyed in Pineapple Pot. 2003.02.22: Andreas Neumann, Peter Ludwig and Nicola Bayley surveyed 76.18 m and connected to Krem –>Wah Shyngktat. 2003.02.22: Robin F. Sheen, Anthony 'Tony' R. Jarratt, P. Ludwig, A. Neumann, A. U. Audsley survey Krem Krang Maw … side passages, Upper Inlet, and Main Passageway downstream (Sheen 2003.02.16 Mss 16/02/03). 2003.02.23: A. Neumann, P. Ludwig, A. U. Audsley and Anthony 'Tony' R. Jarratt survey Krem Krang Maw … oxbows and downstream to a large boulder blockage requiring tackle (Sheen 2003.02.16 Mss 16/02/03). 2003.02.28: A.
