A modified natural cave or rock shelter is coated with orange coloured enamel (compare the blue painted cave at –>Tapkeshwar) and used by saddhus (PRICE 1988b: 32). SITUATION: Not only in an unspecified spatial relation to the orange painted –>Tapkeshwar Cave but also to the Tapkeshwar Mahadev mandir (temple) in the Garhi cantonment above the south-eastern (orographically left) bank of the Tons Nadi (river) and about 5 km in a direct line approximately north-west from the clock tower at Dehra Dun (N30°19': E078°02': 700 m asl).
