Description
A relatively small cave (wider than 2 m, less than 2 m high, and 4 m long), which carries the grand name (note 1) -Tiger's Source- (note 2), may be identical with Coon's cave at –>Rabatek. SITUATION: At a distance of 17 km north-west of Puli Khumri (N35°56'56”: E68°42'51”, on AIMS sheet PI42-02), on the left-hand side of the road to Khulm (N36°41'47”: E67°41'54”, AIMS sheet PJ42-14), and not far from the excavations of Surkh Kotal / Sorkh Kowtal (Red Pass). CAVE LIFE: LINDBERG (1958: 120-121) reports Hemiptera, Heteroptera, Hymenoptera, Pseudoscorpions, and numerous lizards.
