SOH SYLLE (Neumann 2003) (Krem)

Description
An unspecified cave entrance without identified shape, dimensions or peculiar characteristics can be visited over and over and again as it gives the impression of leading to an unspecified sort of -cave- without identified nature or character that probably needs vertical equipment (Jarratt 2003.03.13 Mss: Krem Shylle). ETYMOLOGY: The Krem Shylle of Jarratt (2003.03.13 Mss Krem Shylle) is --for example in case of being full of vegetation-- possibly not a Krem Soh Sylle but a Krem Jyllei (note 1). SITUATION 1: Both Jarratt (2003.02.22 Mss: Meghalaya Cave Log) and Jarratt (2003.03.13 Mss -Krem Shylle- dated 13/03/03) place Krem Shylle on a certain left-hand side without orientation of the footpath from Shnongrim to Krem Ticha and/or Kut Sutiang. SITUATION 2: According to the 2003.02.21 GPS position recorded by A. Neumann, this Krem Shylle lies about 550 m in a direct line approximately SSE from the next Krem –>Soh Sylle 1 (2002 Gebauer). SITUATION 3: Jayne Stead (2008.02.07 Mss -2- dated7th feb. 2008): From number 1 cave [note 2] continue [without orientation] down the path [note 3], past the path to the cave known as Ryme Nup (vine) or Soh Sylle [note 4] … continue down [circa 50 m towards SE] the main path and take the right fork for approx. 30 m through the pines up the slope, bear left [without orientation] to join the Shaktiman track GPS 4 [note 5]. You will pass a Soil Conservation Building [without position] on your left [without orientation], and then join the old Shnongrim Shaktiman track and head back to Shnongrim [note 6]. At GPS 6 [note 7] there is a clearing on the left [without orientation] and a 'hedge' with posts marking the gap. Walk into a clearing --there are [sic! qua: were in February 2008] a few banana trees --clearing approx. 12-15mts (note 8). POSITION 1: WGS84 (±13 m) N25°20'35.9”: E092°31'10.6” / N25.34330556° : E92.51961111° (A. Neumann 2003.02.21, GPS Garmin Etrex): 1012 m asl (unspecified method or instrument). POSITION 2: Withoutidentified geodetic datum, reading without noticed horizontal precision error (except imagined ±7 m) taken 10 m away (without orientation) N25°20'35.4”: E92°31'10.9” (unidentified precision error): 1003 m asl (J. Stead 2008.02.07 Garmin Etrex) or at a linear distance of 17.6 m SSE from the spot where Neumann (2003) positioned Krem Shylle (Krem Soh Sylle 2) but 9 m lower down (note 9). TACKLE (Jarratt 2003.03.13 Mss: Krem Shylle): Probably needs vertical equipment PROSPECTS: Jarratt (2003.03.13 Mss: Krem Shylle) suggested it is Probably good to visit and to enter this cave.7th feb. EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2003.02.21, trip 1: Guided by only four guides (Mulda Rupon, Horbis Patlong, Raplang Shangpliang and Pa He 'Respected Father' Shor Pajuh), Andreas'Andy' Neumann read a lousy GPS position (EPS ±13m) at Krem Shylle, assisted by a strong team of cavers (Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt, Shelley A. Diengdoh, Peter Ludwig, Thomas Matthalm, Andreas Neumann, Robin F. Sheen, Fraser E. Simpson and Rhys Williams). 2008.02.07, trip 2: Guided by one Raplang (Ba Raplang Shangpliang) and a Brian K-D (Brian D. Kharpran Daly), Jayne Stead (2008.02.07 Mss '2' dated 7th feb. 2008) and Elizabenth 'Liz' Stead read an even lousier GPS position (unspecified geodetic datum, without any identified precision).
