A modified natural temple cave in gravitationally dislocated gneiss boulders places LINDBERG (1961a: 15, Number 31) somewhere (note 1) at an unspecified distance (a quelques kilomètres) north of Herat and about 30 m above one road (to an unrecognised destination) along a low chain of hills without recorded name (perhaps the Takht-e Safar / Takht-i- Safar). CAVE DESCRIPTION: Entry to the sanctuary is gained by a door in a wall (topped with glazed bricks with an inscription) in front of a chamber (5 m wide, 2 to 3 m high, 8 m long) illuminated by daylight arriving from the area in front of the cave and falling in through the door. In the far end of the chamber, a narrow fissure continues between boulders. Near the middle of the chamber and on the left-hand side, descends a 4 or 5 m long crawl.
