Description
A cave and pothole without observed peculiarities, which was explored by sports cavers, who searched for recreational adventures and were capable of seeing a blind floor but no characteristics or relevant features except a possibly seasonal, monsoonal, episodical, perennial, or periodical stream without identified discharge or flow direction. According to Jarratt (2006.02.13 Mss: Krem Bir 2), Krem Bir 2 / Mud Cave (see Krem Bir 1) is considered Potholes & perennial stream while Brooks (2006 undated Mss amendments to Jarratt 2006.02.13 Mss: Krem Bir 2) creates a -perennial season- when classifying Krem Bir 2 / Mud Cave N°2 as a pothole that takes a perennial stream in wet weather (sic!). SITUATION 1: Jarratt (2006.02.13 Mss: Krem Bir 2): At an unknown location somewhere at an unidentified walking distance on the South side of [the about 3 km long] path from Shnongrim to [Krem] Iawe and adjacent to cowboy's hut. Brooks (2006 undated Mss amendments to Jarratt 2006.02.13 Mss: Krem Bir 2 draws attention to Evermore Sukhlain aka the Shnongrim Cowboy. SITUATION 2: In an unspecified spatial relation to the first Krem Bir and, according to GPS readings of dubious quality in Arbenz, T (2006.05.21 Abstracts.xls; 2007 January -Eingaenge_Umgerechnet.xls- dated 1904.01.01), somewhere on Lum Manar, a spur in the south-eastern part of the Shnongrim Ridge. CAVE DESCRIPTION 1: Jarratt (2006.02.13 Mss: Krem Bir 2): 36 m pitch to choke. CAVE DESCRIPTION 2: Brooks (2006 undated Mss amendments to Jarratt 2006.02.13 Mss): 36 m deep pothole that is choked ar the base. CAVE DESCRIPTION 3: Jarratt (2006.03.04 Mss: Cave Log, vol. XIII: 14/2/06): A blind floor at c.36 m depth. Cave finished. CAVE DESCRIPTION 4 (Arbenz, T 2006.05.21 Mss: Abstracts.xls): Finished. CAVE DESCRIPTION 5 (JARRATT 2006: 9): Bottomed at -35 m. CAVE DESCRIPTION 6 (JARRATT 2006: 20): 36 m survey length, 36 m total length, 36 m depth. TACKLE: Jarratt (2006.02.13 Mss: Krem Bir 2): [Deleted: 55 m rope] 40 m SRT rope. CAE LIFE: Jarratt (2006.02.13 Mss: Krem Bir 2) attempted to record pale coloured millipeds (Myriapoda: Diplopoda), a lizard, spiders (Aranaea: Arachnidae) and crickets but lists, literally quoted Blind white millipeed [perhaps: millipood], Liserd, spiders, cricets which Brooks (2006 undated Mss amendments to Jarratt 2006.02.13 Mss) interprtes as Blind white millepeds, lizard, spiders and cave crickets.

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2006.02.13, trip 1: Jarratt (2006.02.13 Mss: Krem Bir 2): Descended part way on 13/2/06. Terry Whitaker, Tony Jarrat – guided by Evermore Sukhlain (Shnongrim cowboy). Jarratt (2006 Mss 'Cave Log' 13 entry 13/2/06) narrates how: Terry [Terence M. Whitaker] rigged the rift pot at Krem Bir 2 with two ladders and later had to add another. He still couldn't reach the bottom so came up after dropping the drill battery down to the pitch base. I took over and carried another ladder down but still couldn't reach the floor so I rapidly retreated. S.R.T. is now needed for this very promising pot. 2006.02.14, trip 2: Jarratt (2006.02.13 Mss: Krem Bir 2): [Deleted: Desended to Beton] 14/2/06 by Henry Rockcliff, [deleted: TJ] AJR and [deleted: TW] Terry Whitaker. Brooks (2006 undated Mss amendments to Jarratt (2006.02.13 Mss) adds: Descend to base of pitch. According to Jarratt, A.R. (2006.03.04 Mss 'Cave Log' vol. 13 entry 14/2/06), Henry [Rockcliff] rigged Krem Bi 2 to a blind floor at c. 36 m and Terry [Terence M. Whitaker] and I surveyed down to the bottom ledge –Henry doing the last leg. According to (Brown, Mark W. et al. 2006), Tuesday 14th February … J.Rat, Neil, Terry and Henry went to Krem Bir 2, where Henry rigged 35 m to a mud filled rift.
