Description
A large pothole cave entrance (without specified shape or size) drops some 26 m down into a somehow large chamber (without specified shape or size) where low crawl continues unexplored. SITUATION 1 (Jarratt 2003.03.13 Mss: Krem Muput 5 / Mooput): In what had been in February 2003 a deforested ground, which lies without specified spatial relation somehow near the first Krem –>Mupud (Jarratt 2003). SITUATION 2 (Brooks, S J et al. 2009.02 Mss -Diary 2009.doc- Thursday 19th): In an unspecified spatial relation nearby Krem –>Mupud 5a (Brooks 2009) and Krem –>Mupud 6 (Brooks 2009). POSITION: According to Arbenz, T (2009.06.01 Mss: total 2009.xls), the three distinct entrances to Krem Moopud 5/5A and Krem Moopud 6 are all positioned near N25°20'37.7”: E092°29'51.4”: 1113 m as if the three distinct voids would occupy one and the same space. This seems to be unlikely. CAVE DESCRIPTION (Brooks, S J et al. 2009.02 Mss -Diary 2009.doc- Thursday 19th): A fine shaft of 26 m deep that entered a arge chamber with no way on except for a low crawl with no draft [more likely: no air draught]. This was not pushed as it offered very limited potential and 32 m of passage surveyed in the chamber and pitch. SPELEOMETRY: Arbenz, T (2009.06.01 Mss: total 2009.xls) counts not only the Moopud 5/5A but also Moopud 6 as one and lists the survey lengths 16.48 m (16.02.2009) and 78.44 m (19.02.2009) adding up to 94.92 m (survey 2009 = total 2009).

EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2003.02.24: Paheb 'Respected Father' Shor Pajuh and Ksan Kupar 'Ronnie' Mawlong guided Anthony 'Tony' R Jarratt, Daniel B. Harries and Peter N. F. Dowswell to a doline and pothole (Jarratt 2003.03.13 Mss: Krem Muput 5 / Mooput). 2009.02.19: Simon J. Brooks, Peter Ludwig and Pankaj Rai (Seaman 1st Class, Indian Navy) in company with Brian D. Kharpran Daly, Jean-Pierre Bartholeyns, and Chaphrapng Passah (Jowia Press, TV) … walked from camp to the Mooput [i.e. Mupud] area. An attempt to locate Mooput 5 [i.e. Krem Mupud 5 Jarratt 2003] revealed a new doline named Mooput 6 [Krem –>Mupud 6 Brooks 2009] … Meanwhile, Pankaj cut through the forest to gain access to a doline that was believed to be Mooput 5 [i.e. Krem Mupud 5 Jarratt 2003]. This, in fact, proved to be another new doline that had two shafts in it. This was named Mooput 5A [Krem –>Mupud 5a Brooks 2009]. … Pankaj had also found another doline nearby that proved to be Mooput 5 [Krem –>Mupud 5 Jarrat 2003]. This was rigged by Peter (Brooks, S J et al. 2009 Mss 'Diary 2009.doc' Thursday 19th).
