Location

The cave is signposted to the east of the H201, close the ranger station near Tham Pu Loop. The track is blocked so it is necessary to walk 3 km along the track to reach the cave. If a track exists, access may be shorter (~700 m) from the cultivated area on the eastern border of the National Park. Martin Ellis - 29/09/2019

Tham Pha Phuang 1 is a large through cave. This cave forms a tunnel through Phu Pha Phuang. A fairly steep path and steps leads to a vast cavern with collapsed side wall. The best time for a visit is between 10 am and noon when the sunlight streams through a roof hole illuminating the decoration.
