Description
At a short distance from Chegaon, the road passes under a natural arch of granite formed by the contact of two immense blocks (COLEBROOKE, H T 1827: 375 after Alexander Gerard 1821 August). SITUATION: Chegaon (COLEBROOKE, H T 1827) is indicated as Chargaon near 31°31'N: 78°06'E (AMS sheet NH44-01 Chini U502 series, 1956 edition) on the orographically right (locally north) bank of Sutlej River.
