NOTE 1: The Hindi "char" is the number »four« and the Hindi (Arabic loanword) "minar" is a word for a »tower, turret, minarett« in many Indo - Persian languages but "The Charminar" in India is a relatively huge, urban building cornered by four tall towers, and constituting a prominent landmark in the Muslim capital of Hyderabad (17°22'31”N: 78°28'28”E) on the Deccan plateau in Andhra Pradesh, South India.
