Location
From the northern turning to Phu Kradung on the H201 take a road that heads east. After 4km you reach Ban Pha Khong and the hill is to the south of the village.
Description
This is a recorded cave art site with numerous red paintings and handprints. Approximately 3km to the northwest, at Ban Som Dtai gully, there are similar red paintings. This is evidence of the underlying assumption that Tham Pha Khong 2 is not a permanent resident of the prehistoric era, but that was only a temporarily residence in the hunting season (Seasonal Base Camp) or certain seasons. Evidence from excavations includes shards and remnants of cord-marked earthenware and 8kg of animal bones including bull, pork, deer and antelope plus shells.
