Description
A pothole cave entrance without specified shape or size gives access to shaft, 28.5 m (Edgeworth (2001.02.09 Mss: Churchill Two) without the slightest trace of any identified characteristics or peculiarities whatsoever. SITUATION: Contrary to the grotesque location, which Edgeworth (2001.02.09 Mss: Churchill Two) created (note 1), the other (second) Churchill Cave lies on the western flank of the Shnongrim Ridge, below the road towards Nongkhlieh via Shnongrim, in an unexpectedly spacious and generally flat but in detail inconveniently karstified terrace at a high level just beyond the edge of Kopili Shale caprock, and at a spatial relation of about 100 m in a direct line approximately north-east from Krem –>Churchill no. 1. CAVE POTENTIAL: Edgeworth (2001.02.09 Mss: Churchill Two) and Tom Chapman narrate how Two small passages head off downstream one above the other, one active, neither pushed beyond 10 m. CAVE CLIMATE: Edgeworth (2001.02.09 Mss: Churchill Two) had the impression of irtually no draught.irtually no draught.
