Description
Not a cave at all but a surface feature that is represented by a daylight-lit rift, which was understood to be a solutional doline (closed depression) circa 30 m long, free climbable 15 m deep, and 1 to 2 m wide, along a north-south orientated rift with no active drainage. ETYMOLOGY: Jarratt, A.R. (2005.07.27 Mss amendments to South Asia Cave Register 2002.04.18) pointed out that Larsing [i.e. Larsing Sukhlain] is the man to … properly name the -AA- caves in this area. IDENTITIY: According to the recorded GPS positions, this AA Cave -D1- seems to be identical with Krem –>Wiarbru. SITUATION: Since AA Cave -D2- (Brown 2002) is said to lie at an unexplainable distance east of -D1- it may happen that -D1- lies west of -D2- or, for that matter, in any another spatial relation on the eastern side of the Shnongrim ridge. APPROACH: From the V-shaped standing stones (twin monolith) … near Myrliat walk to GPS-position N25°19'50.6-: E92°30'48.2- on the south side of a jungle clad stream vally. Following a bearing of 045° for 100 m leads a N-S oriented rift ca. 30 m long, 15 m [deep?], 1-2 m wide (Brown 2002.02.13 Mss: D1).
