Grottocenter / carte

Location

At the crossroads in the old town of Ao Luek take the road that heads north towards Ban Khao Lom. About 4 km there is a road on the left which goes towards Tham Lot Tai and Tham Phi Hua To. You soon come to a sign, in Thai, which directs you through the palm plantation to reach the back of the wat. It is easier to continue along the road to a Y junction and then turn right towards Ban Tham Sua. The wat is signed on the right after 100 m. From the main wat building a path, with a couple of ladders and bridges, leads up the side of the cliff. It goes past the middle cave of Tham Lot to this cave at the top of the ridge. This cave is above the lower and upper caves of Tham Lot, but a connection was not found. It is a large, wide passage, only 30 m long, which goes through the ridge. The cave has shrines and many marine shells which again may be or archaeological interest.
