NOTE 2: Elevations after (MITRA, S 1997), positions after nima.mil/geonames (accessed 16.11.2003).

A relatively short, entirely daylight-lit tunnel cave has been reported by »adventure-starved trekkers« (MITRA, Sanjib, in: Saturday Statesman, 1st March 1997). Interpreting the photograph, an approximately 6 m wide and 5 m high cave entrance gives access to a possibly south-north running through cave with a length in the 10 m range. The cave, developed in sort of a gneissic rock, appears to originate from gravitational mass dislocation. SITUATION: At a walking distance of 20 minutes (one or two kilometres) in an unspecified direction from the Tunda Bhuj PWD hut (note 1), which was reached by the Pin - Parbati route (note 2) from Kullu (Kulu N31°58': E077°06') via Manikaran (N32°02': E077°21': 1697 m asl, NI43-16), Barsheni (N32°01': E077°21': 2027 m), Naktan (2440 m), Rudranag, and Khriganga (2920 m) to Tunda Bhuj (3400 m).
