Location
The large forest wat is at the northen end of the range of hills forming the Khao Somphot Non-hunting Area. From Ban Khao Tambon on the H205 to the east of Chai Badan the non-hunting area is signed to the south opposite Wat Khao Tambon. Wat Tham Phron Lok is signed off this road and a good surfaced road leads up the monastery.
Description
The cave entrance is gated and locked. The monks will readily open the cave. A few steps lead up from the car park to a terrace outside the gated and locked entrance. A couple of steps down lead into the small cave which has a couple of shrines. A small ascending passage leads up to a blocked second entrance. The cave is of archaeological interest as stone tools have been found and there are paintings.
