Description
The relatively small vertical cave entrance (pothole) is in width rather boy-sized than man-sized and allowed expedition cavers to look down into the visible darkness of an unexplored shaft which emitted at noon on 14h January 2015 a relatively warm and, due to its smallness, easily noticeable air current (note 1). ETYMOLOGY: No autochthonous, indigenous or locally known name has been identified for what was referred to as -hitherto only a small shaft- (note 2) and -Warmlufthöhle- or Warm Air Cave (note 3). SITUATION: At a location which is probably impossible to relocate without the help of a knowledgeable guide because it was obscured in January 2015 by fairly dense vegetation. Then, the small hole in the ground was not only near a bend (note 4) but also immediately adjacent to a well-trodden footpath used by workers as a shortcut between the village of Lumshnong (±500 m 25°10'45”N: 92°22'30”E) and the Star Cement Factory (note 5). The cave entrance is believed to lie at an estiated distance of 100 m in an unidentified direction from the cave entrance to Krem –>Diengjri (note 6). POSITION: It had happened inadvertently that one Panasonic DMC FT-4 (a digital camera owned by Franz Lindenmayr) recorded the following two GPS waypoints WGS84 25.17866 N: 92.38068 E [25°10'43.2”N: 92°22'50.5”E]: 479 m andWGS84 25.17866 N: 92.38068 E [25°10'43.2”N: 92°22'50.5”E]: 484 m. Both of these GPS positions are disputable (note 7) but seem to indicate a spot less than 25 m due north of the cave entrance to Krem Diengjri, Lumshnong. CAVE CLIMATE: The small, vertical cave entrance forced on Thursday, 14th January 2015 at around 11 o'clock (11:00:05.00) an air current to increase speed and was described as -conspiciously warm air- (Lindenmayr, F 2015.01.14 12:11:18 Panasonic DMS FT-4 photographs P1170916.JPG and P1170917.JPG; Lindenmayr, F 2015.04.29 Mss: Anmerkungen und Ergänzungen). CAVE POTENTIAL: The air current, which issued from this constricted hole, was blindlyinterpreted to indicate something sizeable (note 8). The source of the air current seems to be obvious because the GPS position recorded for this boy-sized shaft indicates a spot above the main passage in Krem –>Diengjri, Lumshnong, .ated distance of 100 m in an unidentified direction from the cave entrance to Krem –>Diengjri (note 6). EXPLORATION HISTORY: 2015.01.15: 2015.01.15: A youth from Lumshnong, called Forget-Me-Not (no surname mentioned), ushered Neville Sootinck, Franz Lindenmayr, and Harald 'Harry' Scherzer to a blowing hole in the ground where the expedition cavers rapidly achieved not only to ignore considering to undertake a surface traverse or to record a GPS position but also succeeded in lacking motivation (note 9). 2015.04.29: Franz Lindenmayr remembered to have noticed in January 2015 a hithereto relatively small-sized pothole, which had emitted conspiciously warm air (Lindenmayr, F 2015.04.29 Mss: Anmerkungen und Ergänzungen).
