Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 06/01/2018

A perennial spring of water rises from a rock sheltered cave entrance (2 m wide, 1 m high), which is off limits for unbending people but leads adaptable invaders along a 3.5 m wide cave passage on their hands and knees to a relatively narrow but penetrable and tube-shaped continuation, which was not entered but seems to lead to a larger sized cave passage (Scherzer, H 2015.04.01 Mss -Tagebuch- 09.01.2015). ETYMOLOGY: No autochthonous, indigenous or locally known name has been identified for what has been referred to as a -hitherto nameless cave spring of a peasant woman- (note 1) and -cave shown by a native who happened to groom her vegetable garden in a karst doline- (note 2).SITUATION: Unknown. In an unspecified setting limited by the corridor effect (note 3) and at an unidentified location somewhere in the vicinity of the JUD Cements Ltd. (note 4) east of Wahiajer (25°11'40”N: 92°22'50”E). APPROACH: The source of water and cave entrance was reached on 9th January 2015 in the corse of a walk (note 5) and by climbing from an unidentified T-junction 20 m down to a rock shelter, vestibule or lobby with the spring issuing from the downstream end of a cave passage (note 5). CAVE POTENTIAL: The sight of the entrance area resulted in suspecting limited prospects for various expeditions or invasions, jaunts, outings, tours and trips by all sorts of caving bands, crews, groups, parties, squads or teams (note 6).A perennial spring of water rises from a rock sheltered cave entrance (2 m wide, 1 m high), which is off limits for unbending people but leads adaptable invaders along a 3.5 m wide cave passage on their hands and knees to a relatively narrow but penetrable and tube-shaped continuation, which was not entered but seems to lead to a larger sized cave passage (Scherzer, H 2015.04.01 Mss -Tagebuch- 09.01.2015).
