Description

Herbert Daniel Gebauer - 15/07/2016

Shallow but wide rock shelters or »caves« (BOWSER 1971: 24) occur in a rock that appears to consist of Pleistocene conglomerate. SITUATION: Above the village of Chairo (also: Chairogaon) and in the right (northern) side of valley contributing from the left (eastern) bank of Kali Gandaki River. When looking from around Tukche to the massif of Mount Nilgiri in the approximate north-east, the grey shadows are visible just above the conifer tree line.
